Great progress has been made since the launch of the new IHRSA Passport Program, powered by TrainAway, at the start of the year. We introduce some of the great gyms enrolled in the network, and how IHRSA members can benefit from the program.
Nearly half a year after its launch, few could have predicted the success of the new IHRSA Passport Program, powered by TrainAway. There are now more than 1,000 clubs enrolled in the program, following the addition of Canadian chain Nautlius Plus, with 39 clubs across Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City this week.
The Passport Program Continues to Expand
The IHRSA Passport Program now comprises a comprehensive club network in North America, with clubs from California to New York and from Alaska to Florida, with coverage in every major city in Canada. Yet the program’s reach extends far beyond just North America. There are also IHRSA Passport clubs in places like Auckland, New Zealand, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Moscow, Russia.
Take-up from members has also been impressive, and is growing rapidly. Members of IHRSA Passport clubs have already bought discounted passes in a huge variety of locations across the world, which only increases as coverage widens.
TrainAway co-founder Kenn Gudbergsen is delighted with the success of the program so far. “We’re feeling extremely positive about the fantastic progress we’ve made up to now. We’re so pleased to be providing benefits for so many clubs and their members already. Our aim now is to keep expanding the TrainAway and IHRSA Passport network and help clubs to communicate the program’s advantages to their members.”
This is echoed by Tara Verity, Senior Service Project Manager at IHRSA. “We knew it was time to deliver the IHRSA Passport Program digitally, and the success of the collaboration so far shows we made the right decision teaming up with TrainAway. We’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our member clubs.”
